2022 Events In North Devon
Pigstock Saturday 14th May
Billed as Devon’s most family-friendly festival, this festival takes place at the Pig On The Hills Country Club. Pigstock is a festival fun for all ages with a food village, free entertainment, live music, and camping! Their partners The Big Sheep will also be opening their doors during the day for festival-goers.
Devon County Show Westpoint Exeter 30th June - 2nd July
This is Devon’s largest agricultural show with a full program of activities and entertainment throughout the weekend. Sample local ales, and cheer on the sheep displays. Families with young children will enjoy the petting farm, fairground, and countryside activities like making beeswax candles.
Clovelly Maritime Weekend 10th July
See the village of Clovelly’s Cup Race as well as other waterborne competitions. Back on land, there will be lots of family entertainment including building your own model boat, arts and crafts, and storytelling.
North Devon Show, Umberleigh 3rd August
This celebration of North Devon’s Agricultural roots offers plenty of opportunities to see the region’s finest livestock in the area. There will also be arena shows, vintage vehicles, family activities, and trade stalls.
RHS Garden Rosemoor Flower Show 19th-21st August
The only RHS Garden Flower Show in the South West returns with floral displays, plants, sundries to buy delicious food and drink, flower arranging, demonstrations, specialist talks, and live music.
Gone Wild Festival 25th-28th August
TV adventurer Bear Grylls is returning to Powderham Castle with his gone wild festival over the bank holiday weekend. There will be a program of exciting outdoor activities for families as well as top headline music acts.
Mid Devon Show, Knightshayes, Tiverton 23rd July
In 2022 the show will be on its 27th year and offers an award-winning combination of ringside entertainment, countryside history, and livestock competitions. There will also be plenty of local traders selling Devon delicacies, crafts, and gifts on the grounds of this beautiful National trust estate.
Clovelly Apple Day 26th October
This is a traditional autumn apple-themed event at the beautiful fishing village, Clovelly. Children will be able to see apples being pressed to make fresh juice and have a chance at apple bobbing as well as take part in the arts and crafts that will be available for them. There will be competitions for the best carved, sculpted, and decorated apples. Later in the day, there is also a harvest hunt and a special tour with a spooky theme!
