Where and when can you see the best fireworks that North Devon has to offer? Where in the region will the best bonfires be to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night in 2018?

Spread out throughout the county, and taking place on various dates, these are family-friendly events that are very popular with locals and holiday-makers alike. 

We guarantee they'll have you saying ooohhh and ahhh!

Woolacombe Firework Display

When: 2nd November 2018

Where: The Meadow in Woolacombe

Costs: £5 for adults, children £3, family tickets £12

Famous for its beach, on firework night the small village of Woolacombe on the North Devon coast comes alive as a field fills with people ready to see the display. 

Gates open at 6pm and the fireworks themselves will take place from 7.45pm (ish).

The evening will consist of a bonfire to start with before the firework finale. 

Plus there will be live music, a hog roast, a BBQ and a fully licensed bar. Food and drink will be suitable for all the family.

Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day from two shops in Woolacombe village; Shirley's and Londis.

Appledore Pirates Bonfire and Fireworks Night

When: 2nd November 2018

Where: Appledore - on the quay

Costs: FREE - although donations are suggested 

Taking place on the quay of Appledore village, between The Beaver Inn pub and The Royal George, this event is a community funded project. 

The bonfire and fireworks are lit by the edge of the water right in the heart of the village, so they can be seen for miles around.

Those visiting the village to enjoy the display can meet crew members who will have a donation bucket, please remember to contribute as proceeds are put back into funding the following year - the more the Appledore Pirates collect the better the display.

There will be free parking at nearby Skern Lodge from 6pm, and the event itself starting from 7pm. Fireworks will be launched depending on the tide. 

Many choose to gather with friends and family over the course of the evening, spending time in a thriving and friendly village.   

Great Torrington Cavaliers Bonfire and Fireworks Show

When: 3rd November 2018

Where: Torrington Rugby Club

Costs: £4 for adults, children £3 and under 3's free, family tickets £12

This will be another fabulous show from the Great Torrington Cavaliers. 

This year's show starts at 7pm prompt with the gates opening an hour before at 6pm. 

A bar will be open to all and delicious food will be available. 

The Torrington Cavaliers have a reputation for setting up wonderful bonfires and hosting popular firework displays so we can't wait to see what they produce this year. 

Braunton Fireworks

When: 3rd November 2018

Where: Braunton Cricket Club

Costs: £5 for adults, children £4, family tickets £15

This is a wonderfully communal event, with tickets being sold at shops and schools around Braunton. All money raised will go back to the 3 schools in the village. 

Gates open early at 4.30pm - the evening will be filled with food and other stalls, alongside entertainment and fun games for the family. 

Expect things like circus skills, a bouncy castle and a supervised sparkler zone spread out around Braunton Cricket Club

All of this will be provided by North Devon companies and groups, bringing a real personal touch to the occasion. 

Then, at 7.30pm, the firework display begins.

Barnstaple Round Table Fireworks

When: 4th November 2018

Where: Barnstaple Rugby Football Club

Costs: £5 for adults, children £4, family tickets £15

Hosted by Barnstaple Round Table, fireworks will once again be lighting up the sky during the annual and popular show.

Reduced priced tickets are available to be purchased online or you can buy them at the gate for the above prices. 

There will be entertainment and tasty treats for all in the form of a yummy barbecue, refreshments and novelties for children.

Bonfire Fireworks Party at The Big Sheep

When: 5th November 2018

Where: The Big Sheep family attraction

Costs: £6 for all, when booked online

A classic bonfire night with a twist; a Bonfire Fireworks Party awaits with food, shows, entertainment and of course a big fireworks display.  

Their Bonfire Fireworks Party promises to be a wonderful night for all the family, with lots of variety.  

It kicks off at 5pm with a special junior firework display taking place at 6pm. The main bonfire is lit at 7pm and the big firework display launches at 7.45pm.

As an added bonus, a brand new fire show will be taking place at various intervals during the night, for more oohing and ahhing

For the whole night, their large indoor playground will be open for little ones to let off steam whilst everyone warms up.
