3 reasons to travel in 2021
This year has changed so much about travel: the where, the how, and perhaps most importantly, the why. Now's the time to start planning your escape. Considering the closest many of us got to that far-flung beach holiday this year was a deep scroll through our Instagram feed. It's time to start planning ahead and book something to look forward to. So next year, let’s go all out, escape your own four walls and enjoy the staycation of your dreams.
Just in case you still need persuading, we've pulled together the top three reasons for getting out there again next year if you didn’t manage a getaway this year.
1. A wellness getaway has never been so necessary
Some of us ate too much. Most of us drank too much. Many of us sat hunched over makeshift desks for hours as we Zoomed with colleagues or loved ones. We were either alone too often or struggled to claim a minute for ourselves. The past year has taken a toll, and we could all use a little more self-care - and North Devon is the place to find it in the New Year. Whether you’re looking to escape the household chores and cooking for a change, leisurely swim in the pool or getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and relax by the beach - the stunning landscape of the south coast is the perfect location for a reset.
2. It's not too late to celebrate
Thirtieth birthday. Honeymoon. First wedding anniversary. Babymoon. If you had to cancel a celebratory trip in recent months you certainly weren't alone; over the past eight months, many of us have had to postpone trips we'd planned to celebrate major life moments. However it’s not too late to celebrate next year and go all out for your trip to make the occasion even more special.
If you are planning a special occasion, get in touch with our hotel reservations team and find out more about the luxury extras we can add to your stay which include special touches such as flowers, luxury chocolates and champagne.
3. The great outdoors is your new backyard
Summer 2020 was filled with plenty of walking, cycling and road trips through nature's playground where other visitors (if any) were well out of sight. Take advantage of the great outdoors - 2020 has been the year where you no longer have to be an outdoorsy type to go outside and we love it! Enjoy more pedaling and less people, because it's easy to stay six feet apart on a bike. Escape everyday and ditch the busy trains, long queues and bustling cities and join us in our cosy corner of the world and enjoy the simpler things in life.
