Take a step back in time with Devon D-Day 2018
This popular Devon D-Day event, held on the beach at Saunton Sands, is hosted by Friends of the Assault Training Center and will be attended by the 304th Panzergrenadiers and the 2nd Devons.
This D-Day re-enactment is an opportunity to showcase how soldiers arrived for their training in 1944, and to educate children further about why it all took place.
On Saturday 2nd June 2018 there will be a WW2 Vehicle Convoy starting at Cobbaton Combat Collection and arriving at Saunton Sands for lunch. Then, in the afternoon, Spitfires will be performing a flypast. The involvement of these Battle of Britain memorial planes is made even more special as it is the RAF's 100th year.
The demonstrations and activities continue on Sunday with over 70 war vehicles, including Sherman tanks.
Take a step back in time with this family event and enjoy:
