24th October 2018 - Clovelly Village
Clovelly Apple Day 2018
It's Apple season in Clovelly and what better way to celebrate than with a very special Apple Day with lots of lovely apple crafts and activities?
The timings look like this:
1pm - Harvest Hunt with the Clovelly tour guide, Jana Edwards. Book your space in advance to be taken down and around the craft yard and Mount Pleasant. There are spooky stories and clues on the way, collect them to win a harvest treat.
11am to 1pm - Apple pressing. Bring a bag of apples to have them pressed just outside the visitor centre by Gatcombe Valley Juices. Enjoy the fresh apple juice there and then, or if you have enough apples, they will bottle it for you for a small charge.
12pm to 4pm - Apple day activities. The fruit is perfect for creating many art projects so enjoy Apple Art with the help of the Plough Arts Centre.
They will also have live music, apple bobbing, apple stamping and corn dolly making.
New to the party in 2018 will be the farmers market. Discover stalls that include pumpkins, locally ground vegetables and herbs and a wonderful array of meats.
Plus the WI will be judging an Apple Pie/Crumble competition! Yummy!
With something for all the family, plus the usual views, historical buildings and fascinating setting, Apple Day at Clovelly is a must do.
